Said Abbas

Content Creation & Storytelling for the modern world

Combining journalism and photography to create compelling image-driven digital publications

Project Information

Said Abbas, a young medical student, is an active member of the Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan. He supports the organization’s efforts to reduce the burden of tuberculosis on the country. He does so by supporting patients to complete their treatment, as well as by actively sensitizing the public on how to avoid contracting this contagious disease that kills around 400 people every year in Kyrgyzstan.

On a hot day in July, I followed Said Abbas to various sites around the city of Jalal-Abad to document his work. As a means to tell the story of what he and his Red Crescent colleagues do, I created what I call a “mini-story” using modern and compelling tools, such as Adobe’s Spark Page.
